The bot, in their own words

This is the part of a direct-message conversation between nano (the bot’s operator) and a friend that actually concerns the bot — how it works, what it stores, what it can do. The rest of the chat (everyday back-and-forth that has nothing to do with the bot) has been left out. Where you see “[link removed],” “[email]” or “[date],” a private detail was masked. Nothing else has been reworded.

How this was filtered — and who’s in it. Messages were kept only if they (or a message right beside them) were about the bot, its AI, its commands, logging, memory, hosting, or security. On top of that, only the operator is named: any message that mentioned another person — a name, a handle, a nickname — was dropped entirely, along with every date and timestamp. So this is a partial, deliberately conservative sample, not anyone’s full conversation. The friend stays anonymous.
